Bogota, Colombia: The Crown Plaza Suites Tequendama Bogota has opened at the International Center Tequendama, a mixed-use building located minutes from the city’s downtown and its financial district, and 20 minutes from El Dorado International Airport. The Crown Plaza Suites Tequendama, a conversion from an independent property, underwent an extensive renovation and features deluxe and executive club suites ranging from 580 square feet to 1,000 square feet. All suites include a living room with a sofa-bed, a dining room table, a fully-equipped kitchenette and a highly-functional work station with wireless Internet access. The new property also features a variety of amenities, including a spa facility, health and fitness center, business center, four restaurants and three meeting rooms on the 30th floor that can accommodate up to 700 people.

The Crown Plaza Suites Tequendama Bogota is owned by Sociedad Hotelera Tequendama, which also owns the 573-room Crowne Plaza Tequendama Bogota next door.

Boston: Embassy Suites Boston at Logan Airport has installed a digital reader board from Flyte Systems in its lobby to keep guests informed about meetings and events, real-time airline activity at Boston Logan, updated weather and storm warnings, and breaking news alerts.

Danvers, MA: Sage Hospitality and The Lightstone Group have signed a franchise license agreement with Hilton Worldwide for the conversion of the CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort – Boston in late summer 2012, following more than $10 million in renovations. At that time the 366-room hotel will become The DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-North Shore, the seventh DoubleTree by Hilton property in Massachusetts.

The hotelwide renovation will include design and service upgrades in all guest rooms and suites, as well as extensive improvements to public spaces and its 30,000 square feet of meeting space.
Its 10,000 square foot grand ballroom — the largest outside of downtown Boston — is able to accommodate up to 1,400 people.

San Francisco: Grace International, a Singapore-based management group specializing in luxury boutique hotels, has acquired The Huntington Hotel of Nob Hill. The purchase signifies the company’s plan to establish a presence in the global market, according to executive director Geeson P. Lawadinata: “It will be an ideal introduction of the group’s exceptional and opulent service — grounded on discernment and passion — to California and the rest of the US.” The Huntington Hotel started as the exclusive Huntington Apartments in 1922 on California and Taylor streets, and was immediately proclaimed as “the last word in luxury” by San Francisco’s Illustrated Daily Herald. Through the decades, it has maintained a tradition of tendering quiet, understated lavishness.

Tinton Falls, NJ: The Courtyard Tinton Falls Eatontown Hotel has completed a number of improvements to its lobby, dining area and infrastructure, incuding replacing its traditional front desk with welcome pedestals; a new business library in the hotel lobby and  installation of a giant touch-screen “GoBoard,” which allows guests to browse the latest headlines, sports scores, local weather reports, and even get directions. The hotel is also in the process of adding free Wi-Fi to the entire building.
