The 143-room Elysee Palace Hotel in Nice, France, is expected to open in early 2013, when it will be rebranded AC Hotel Nice. It will be the first hotel to join the AC Hotels by Marriott portfolio since the joint venture’s launch last year, but is seen as the kick-off to a development drive throughout Europe and Latin America, according to Amy McPherson, president and managing director for Marriott International in Europe, where it is “pursuing numerous development opportunities.”
There are already more than 80 existing AC Hotels by Marriott throughout Spain, Italy and Portugal.
AC Hotels by Marriott reflect the modern urban lifestyle offering the signature AC Lounge, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a great place to relax, work or unwind with a drink or snack. Guestrooms in AC Hotels by Marriott feature a contemporary look and feel with crisp white bedding, gleaming hardwood floors, modern bathrooms and free mini-bar. To that, the AC Hotel Nice will add a rooftop terrace featuring an outdoor swimming pool and restaurant with panoramic views of Nice and the Mediterranean.
